People Operations Specialist

Axelerant is looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our globally distributed team. The People Operations Specialist will be owning or providing support for the core functions of the People Management department. You will be part of the People Operations team to ensure that Axelerant People Care strategy is delivered kindly, with compassion.

The ideal person for this position has proven expertise in People Management of compensation, benefits, leave, legal and policy compliance, guideline authoring, organizational programs and training, and other reportable aspects. To be a competent People Operations Specialist, you should be patient and compassionate, have excellent listening skills, and be able to prioritize effectively.


  • People administration – Documentation, upgradation, and process adherence. Provide management, execution, and enhancement of Appraisals & Bonuses; Benefits; Expense Review & Reimbursement; People Service Desk; Grievances; Guidelines & Policies; Leave Management; Legal; Onboarding, Offboarding, and Exit; People Operations Jira Project Ownership; Retreat planning; and Salary Processing programs.
  • Onboarding – Manage all details and coordination of onboarding programs and deliver compelling content.
  • Team member relations – Manage all details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations. Guide the leadership team on sensitive or complex matters and elevate to the appropriate staff when research is required. Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.


  • Organizational engagement – Documentation, upgradation, and process adherence. Provide management, execution, and enhancement of Event, Attendance, and Travel Sponsorship; Glassdoor profile and responses; Hackathons; Happy hours; Monthly meetups; OfficeVibe surveys; Performance and Career Management systems; Retreat planning; and Zero-gossip programs.


  • 4+ years of people management experience
  • 1+ years of payroll management experience
  • 1+ years of performing employee onboarding
  • Strong English communication and team collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations

  • Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
  • Exposure to managing a remote working environment
  • Proficient in people management systems
  • Proficient with Google Apps
  • Strong ability to prioritize and remain calm in emergencies
  • Superb conflict resolution skills


Special Considerations

Though you can work from home for all of Axelerant's roles, except for specific regional jobs, like Account Executive UK/US, our salaries are typically paid per India-based compensation plans. Further, you might be required to have a two- to four-hour crossover with the 11 AM to 7 PM India (UTC+05:30) timezone each workday for meetings and coaching.
