Visual Designer II

As a Visual Designer II at Axelerant, you'll play a critical role in crafting compelling narratives, visually articulating messaging, and helping to understand the user and business needs. We're looking for someone to own the creation and maintenance of our marketing assets and content created to support sales and marketing goals. From concept through execution, you will improve our user experience by bringing our brand to life and keeping it consistent across all our various touchpoints.

One of the critical aspects of your role is a thorough understanding of the right balance between business, design, and our personas and serving our brand's purpose, business missions.

A Visual Designer II at Axelerant could progress to a Senior Visual Designer role within three years.

Responsibilities

As our Visual Designer, your responsibilities will include areas of design such as typography, iconography, color, illustration, and images. You will use your knowledge, expertise, and skills in all these fields to help our users successfully navigate and become comfortable with our brand.

• Generate bright ideas, concepts, and designs of creative assets from beginning to end.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business/technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging while adhering to the brand standards.
• Conceptualize visuals for presentation decks, paid media assets, email layouts, social media assets, charts, and infographics.
• Create editorial layouts and design ebooks, brochures, white paper offer PDFs ready for web and print.
• Scope, create, and refine brand master templates and content format editing to ensure style guide adherence, etc.
• Create high fidelity mockups from wireframes, sketches, and low fidelity prototypes.
• Produce brand standards, style guides, and design system libraries across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Sketch, Google Slides, and Google Docs
• Strong portfolio of interaction, brand, and visual design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of print & digital environments.
• Self-starter who knows how to collaborate and reach out to others for help.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a pre-defined timeline.
• Be comfortable collaborating in design team reviews, sharing and brainstorming ideas with remote/distributed team

Special Considerations:

All of Axelerant's roles are considered work from anywhere. However, some jobs are regionally specific due to sales or other onsite considerations. For example, when living in Costa Rica and applying for a US sales role, we will not consider you for that job opening.
Except for regionally specific jobs, like UK/US-based account executives or Canadian-based software contributors, our salaries are paid per India-based compensation plans.
Also, we typically expect people to have a two-to-four-hour crossover with the 11 AM to 7 PM India (UTC+05:30) timezone each workday for meetings and coaching.
